Acquisition Platforms

When dictated by the requirements of a project, NEOS is capable of accessing additional geophysical data to further constrain the subsurface interpretation. These include datasets available for license by third parties such as seismic data library owners or satellite operators, as well as airborne datasets that NEOS can acquire using its own fixed- and rotary-wing aerial sensor platforms.

Satellite - NEOS does not own or operate satellite systems, but instead licenses existing geophysical datasets – primarily low-resolution multispectral data from known satellite operators.

Fixed Wing - NEOS generally uses company-owned Twin Otter aircraft for airborne sensor deployment. The Twin Otter offers a reliable platform that is capable of operating in remote, low-service locations.

Rotary Wing - NEOS secures widely available helicopter platforms capable of deploying our advanced sensor payload system. On most surveys, we will typically turn to a Eurocopter platform for payload deployment because of this manufacturer's reputation for safety and reliability.
